Cebu Pacific also adds flights to Hanoi, Hong Kong
The Philippines' leading low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) increases the number of seats available from Manila to Taipei, Hanoi and Hong Kong and vice versa, to accommodate additional travel demand.
From May 2 to June 3, two of CEB's seven weekly frequencies between Manila and Taipei will utilize a 436-seater Airbus A330 aircraft. CEB will utilize a 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft for the rest of the week.
"By upgrading some of our Taipei flights to a bigger aircraft, we are able to offer 41% more seats, making more low fares to and from Taipei available for everyJuan," said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
From April 11 to May 2, CEB will also offer 4 extra weekly flights between Manila and Hong Kong, in time for the Philippine summer peak period. From 28 times weekly, passengers can choose between 32 weekly flights during this time.
CEB also flies direct to Hong Kong from Cebu, Clark and Iloilo.
Meanwhile, CEB, the only airline operating direct flights between Manila and Hanoi, adds more flights to this route. Starting April 3, CEB will operate thrice weekly Manila-Hanoi flights, or every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
CEB is slated to take delivery of 12 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo and 3 Airbus A330 aircraft from 2014 to 2021.
"The delivery of more aircraft will allow us to add more destinations, routes and flights to an already extensive network to key cities in Asia and the Middle East. We encourage everyJuan to take advantage of these additional flights and CEB's trademark lowest fares, for their leisure and business travel needs," Iyog added.
CEB's 51-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 30 Airbus A320, 3 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world.
