Sofitel Manila Hotel Celebrates Oktoberfest 2014
Enjoy two nights of authentic Bavarian feast and entertainment as Sofitel Manila celebrates the 76th Oktoberfest in Manila.
Bring on the authentic Bavarian festival as the German Club Manila, in cooperation with Sofitel Philippine Plaza, presents the 76th Oktoberfest in Manila happening on the 17th and 18th of October 2014 at the prestigious Harbor Garden Tent.
This year likewise marks the 204th year of the world's most famous beer festival which is a celebration of traditions, entertainment, and genuine Bavarian feast reminiscent of classic German folk festivals.
In celebration of its 76th year in Manila, the Oktoberfest weekend’s program continue to be Manila’s most memorable as Sofitel’s breathtaking resort setting and amped-up offerings take it to even greater heights.
The Harbor Garden Tent will be converted into an authentic Biergärten adorned with Bavarian colors, white and blue. Ladies in dirndls and gents in lederhosen strutting around the tent-turned-Oktoberfest village add to the exciting Munich Oktoberfest vibe.
Sofitel Manila’s Master Chefs will be preparing a sumptuous Bavarian spread from fresh roasted pork knuckles, laugen rolls, grilled German sausages and mouth-watering pastries paired with refreshing, ice cold San Miguel beer free flowing for all to enjoy.
Experience an authentic Oktoberfest with musicians playing on cow-bells feature Schuhplattler, the traditional folk dance of Bavaria and the unique sounds of the gigantic Alps Horn and Goaßlschnalzer.
Likewise, guaranteed to make guests sing and dance is the original Hofbräuhaus band and show from the legendary Hofbräuhaus in Munich, founded by the Duke of Bavaria in 1589. In addition, Lissie, an internationally acclaimed female yodeller, is slated to join the festive event. Adding excitement to this year’s festive celebration is a raffle draw with over a million worth of prizes. Proceeds go to the German Club Manila’s welfare projects.
